Jolive Labs is the company behind AdaptedAI Consulting, the weekly show Why You Should Care About AI, and the JOLIVE research platform. Our view is simple: most of what makes AI succeed or fail inside an organization is about people, and people can be studied, measured and supported.
Jacob Oliveira
Jacob is a cognitive neuroscience graduate researcher at the University of Waterloo. He started Jolive Labs on an observation that keeps repeating: organizations buy AI the way they buy software, then are surprised when their people quietly work around it. Research already has the methods for that problem. Ask the people who have to use the thing, measure what they actually do, and fix what is genuinely in the way.
JOLIVE started with a bottleneck that has nothing to do with the science. The path from an idea to a running study is blocked by technical work: code to write, infrastructure to keep alive, and tools that ask a researcher to become an engineer first.
JOLIVE removes that step, so a researcher's time goes to the work only they can do: framing the question, designing the study, and reading what the data means. The technology between an idea and a result shouldn't be theirs to solve. It should be ours.
